Has your data been viewed incorrectly or without permission?

If you suspect your data has been accessed incorrectly or without permission, you can contact the healthcare provider who accessed your data and the healthcare provider from whom your data was requested.

They are responsible for investigating why your data was accessed. You can also report this to Volgjezorg.

If necessary, Volgjezorg will attempt to consult with these healthcare providers to jointly investigate what happened and find a suitable solution or response.

If you are not satisfied with the responses from your healthcare providers, you can always file a complaint with the supervisory authorities. The supervisory authorities are the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP - Dutch Data Protection Authority) and the Inspectie voor de Gezondheidszorg (IGZ - The Health and Youth Care Inspectorate).

Data Protection Officer

Volgjezorg is part of VZVZ. VZVZ has a Data Protection Officer (DPO). You can always direct any complaint directly to this DPO via fg@vzvz.nl.

You also have the right to submit your complaint directly to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
